Warpaint’s new single ‘Billie Holiday’ will be released on 19th September. The track is mixed by Pulp bassist Steve Mackey and is a complete re-working of the original version from the Warpaint’s debut EP ‘Exquisite Corpse’, produced by John Frusciante (ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers). It was felt that the single did not get enough ears the first time around, and as it’s always been a band favourite it only seems right to re-release it now that they are a little more well known.

This new version of ‘Billie Holiday’, which was Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on Radio 1 last week, will appear on the band’s deluxe album (also out on 19th Sept). The album consists of their current album ‘The Fool’, ‘Exquisite Corpse’ and various remixes.

Warpaint will be playing Summer Sundae, Reading and Leeds, Edinburgh Queen’s Hall and Ireland’s Roisin Dubh among many other dates this summer.
