Cowtown

Cowtown have unveiled the video for new single ‘Emojicore’; a meticulously created clip which sees the band running through a glitchy mash up of the SEGA  Nintendo, Playstation and Windows PC systems.

Created by Emily Garner, the video was built frame by frame using MS Paint and Adobe PS. She says of the process: “The method is archaic but stupidly fun and it will totally give you square eyes. It was dead easy to make because Jon, Dave and Hilary translate so well into pixel avatars.

Cowtown’s Jonathan Nash says of the song: “Without getting into too much detail, the lyrics for Emojicore attempt to address my concerns about our ever-growing dependence on technology as a principle way of communicating. It’s a cautionary tale.
