American multi-instrumentalist Tune-Yards has announced a UK tour in support of her third album, Nikki Nack.

Tune-Yards, which is the musical project of Merrill Garbus, will play gigs in Dublin, London, Liverpool, Gateshead and Glasgow in March next year.

Her third album, which was influenced by a trip to Haiti, was released through 4AD in May.

The LP features lead single Water Fountain, which Garbus recently performed on her UK TV debut on Later…With Jools Holland.

When performing live, Garbus creates drum loops which are then layered with ukulele, vocals and a bass guitar.

Garbus also supported Arcade Fire on their US tour last year.
