Now that the clocks have gone forwards, that means only one thing. Longer days, and with an incredible few months of gigs coming up across Manchester, April is shaping up to be an exciting time. - Stone — Deaf Institute – Starting off the gig guide this month is an incredibly exciting act. Formed in Liverpool in 2019, Stone have been quite the topic of conversation. Releasing their debut single the next year, and from there they just took off. With appearances at both Reading and Leeds, Isle of Wight Festival, Liverpool Sound City, and Boardmasters. As well as supporting the likes of Inhaler, The Wombats, Sam Fender and The Kooks. Clearly people see a lot of potential in these, and so they should, the music speaks for itself. If you want to be there before Stone are selling out arenas across the world, get to The Deaf Institute April 7th at 7pm.
April 9
- Enter Shikari – Satan’s Hollow – yes you read that right, the legendary Enter Shikari are playing at Satan’s Hollow, before their enormous UK arena tour at the far end of the year. To Commemorate 20 years since their first ever show, they return to the venue that started it all. And this April an incredibly lucky 400 people will get to witness their intimate return. However, if you didn’t manage to get tickets to this incredibly high demand gig, Enter Shikari will be at Co-Op Live November 19th.

- Happy Mondays — Victoria Warehouse – Your twistin me melon man! Happy Mondays are back in Manchester! Formed in Salford, in 1980, and signed to Tony Wilson’s Factory records label in 1985 alongside an amazing roster of Manchester bands like New Order. They became one of the most important parts of Manchester’s musical history and became synonymous with the rave scene. There isn’t too much to say about Happy Mondays that hasn’t already been said before, but if you have never managed to catch them live, they are absolutely incredible and cannot be recommended enough, even 40 years on.

- Cat Burns — Apollo – With her latest release ‘How To Be Human’ releasing in October last year, fans of Cat Burns have been waiting for another opportunity to see her live in Manchester again. And following on from November’s sold-out gig at the Apollo, the time has come once again, with another sold out show. With hits from her latest album, along with older tunes fans have fallen in love with. It is going to be an immense gig. Doors are at 7pm.

- Olivia Dean — Co-op Live – 2026 has been an incredible year so far for Olivia Dean, being named Rookie of the Year by Billboard, winning four Brit Awards and having two number one hits, one being her duet, Rein Me In, with Sam Fender. And this April she is playing two sold out shows in Manchester as part of her UK Tour. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience an artist at the height of her popularity and in the most impressive setting to date.

- Blue — Bridgewater Hall – Formed over 25 years ago, Blue have had a short but powerful career, with their debut single ‘All Rise’ peaking at number four and their debut album with the same name being released later that year reaching number one in the UK. It was only a few short years later that they went on hiatus from the band and pursued solo projects. However, that’s not the end of Blue’s story, in 2011 they reunited to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest where they placed 11th. But in more recent news, their latest album ‘Reflections’ released in January of this year. And to celebrate, they are heading out on a massive UK tour, with a stop at Manchester’s amazing Bridgewater Hall. Doors are 7:30pm
