In addition to their exceptional self-directed video portraying one man’s struggle with guilt, Oxford’s SPRING OFFENSIVE share a slightly darker side to their songwriting prowess with brand new single ‘Not Drowning But Waving’.

The dynamic quintet confirm its physical availability will be on very limited edition 7” vinyl with download code in bespoke packaging assembled by the band themselves. This will only be available on their merch table and webstore exclusively for the two month duration of their imminent European tour, with the digital version available now.

When asked about the visual concept, guitarist and video creator/ director Matt Cooper states “The video takes the song’s narrative beyond the central event, investigating the burden and consequences of guilt; the main character’s re-enactment of the drowning by wearing the dead man’s clothes and filling the bathroom with things from the beach, could stem from this or from a desire to experience what it is like for the victim”

Not Drowning But Waving is available digitally now and available to pre-order the vinyl from 10/09/12
