U.S. folk and synth man John Grant unveils the brand new video for “Global Warming”, taken from his latest record ‘Grey Tickles, Black Pressure’ (2015).

In what has been an eventful and fruitful past few years for the former Czars member, Grant has brought his “A” game to this frightening and rather poetic video. Directed by Casey Raymond and Ewan Jones Morris, its details the last man on earth, all alone and running out of time.

It’s not the first time this year John has managed to pull off such an emotive performance. He recently performed with Kylie Minnogue at the Royal Albert Hall in a sold out show, that’s no mean feat. More and more people every album seems to be calling themselves John Grant superfans, and that’s not surprise considering how talented he is. Probably one of the most interesting male solo artists around today, at least one who operates within alternative circles to the numpties of Channel 5 and fans of ‘Loose Women’ barely living, married with kids at university and fans of Rod Stewart.

With minimal live dates confirmed for the rest of 2016, it’ll be interesting to see when Grant delivers his new album. It’ll probably be album of the century, everyone else might as well give up now the ways he’s heading.

Live dates:

Thursday 28th July – BEXHILL-ON-SEA – De Le Warr Pavilion
Friday 29th July – MALMESBURY – WOMAD festival
Saturday 8th October – SHEFFIELD – The Three Ring Circus
