Hailing from Athens, Georgia, birthplace of US Rock giants R.E.M., the critically acclaimed Mothers reveal 12 European live dates, including an appearance at Green Man Festival on 19th August.

With the announcement of tour dates comes the opportunity to further your Mother’s education, by indulging in their debut album, ‘When You Walk A Long Distance You Are Tired’, again. Only this time, there are 5 bonus tracks as the American indie dreamers reveal a digital deluxe edition, available 29th July.

Blending ambient/ethereal sounds with folk and slightly feral instrumentation, they’re one of the most interesting bands of 2016. Kristine Leschper’s voice is angelic at times and song’s such as “Easy As Possible” highlight this beauty embroiled in sadness perfectly.

If you’re a fan of The xx, perhaps even London Grammar (despite being super polished), then you’ll no doubt find something in Mothers to casually wade through the summer foils with.
