The Wave Pictures have unveiled a new video to accompany their latest single, The Fire Alarm.

The single, which is taken from their latest record Great Big Flamingo Burning Moon, will be released on May 4.

Directors Hot Gulp say of the video: “It was inspired by a Death Cab for Cutie video which see Lance Bangs ejected from a gig and running round backstage, we had the idea of three people trying repeatedly to get into a Wave Pictures concert but their efforts being thwarted by an overzealous bouncer.

“It was a kind of Tom and Jerry set up with the attempts becoming more and more farfetched..”

The band have also announced two headline shows in June, along with Cloudspotting and Green Man festivals this summer.

The Wave Pictures play:

Thursday 18th June – LONDON – Dome Tufnell Park

Saturday 27th June – BRIGHTON – Green Door Store

Friday 24th to Saturday 26th July – GISBURN – Cloudspotting Festival

Thursday 20 August – Sunday 23 August – POWYS – Green Man Festival
