Eccentronic Research Council have released an EP featuring a collaboration with Fat White Family ahead of the release of their fourth album in May.

The Sheffield based duo, Dean Honer and Adrian Flanagan, have today released an EP of tracks by fictional band The Moonlandingz, and the EP’s lead track, Sweet Saturn Mine, is accompanied by a video featuring the band’s regular collaborator, Silk and Shameless actress Maxine Peake.

Then, in May, the band will release their fourth album, Johnny Rocket, Narcissist And Music Machine…I’m Your Biggest Fan, on Fat White Family’s Without Consent label on  May 18.

The EP and album are both written from the persuasive point of view of an obsessional fan of a local band – The Moonlandingz, who gig around the fictional South Yorkshire district of Valhalla Dale – and how this fan’s behaviour tips over into stalking and then plummets dramatically into something far worse.

The EP is available digitally now, with lead track Sweet Saturn Mine featuring on the album, and a 12” of the EP will also come with the initial run of the vinyl edition of the album.
