Carrying on from where other urban festivals such as In The City left off, A Carefully Planned Festival is back to bring more than 100 national and international acts to Manchester’s musical hub, the Northern Quarter, for a weekend of live music, art, spoken word, and partying – all for the princely sum of £12.50 for a weekend wristband.

Spread over six venues encompassing Manchester’s best-loved to the surprisingly intimate, the event will see some of the most interesting and cutting-edge bands from across the UK and further afield, including as far as Denmark and Japan, take the stage for a weekend of unrivalled entertainment on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October.

Highlights from the line-up include the much-hyped Crash Of Rhinos, This Many Boyfriends, The Physics House Band, festival favourites Johnny Foreigner, plus up-and-coming talent Kiran Leonard, who will be guaranteed to attract significant attention from anyone with their finger on the pulse. The bands booked will surely be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Mercury-prize winners Alt-J, who wowed crowds at previous Carefully Planned events.

Joining them on the bill are some of Manchester’s finest talents, including Golden Fable, Plank, and Doctrines, whose local reputations are sure to draw a large crowd.

However, A Carefully Planned Festival is just as much about a warm and friendly atmosphere as it is about the music. The team at Carefully Planned have been in existence since 2007 and since then they’ve put on numerous well-attended events, including the much-lauded previous incarnations of A Carefully Planned Festival.

Performances will take place from 13:00 on Saturday 19th in six carefully chosen locations; Soup Kitchen, Night & Day, KRAAK, Bakerie, the Castle Hotel, and recently renovated Gullivers, all within a few minutes’ walk of each other in the Northern Quarter, with performances followed by DJs going on into the early hours of both Sunday and Monday.

The full line-up is available on the Carefully Planned Festival website

Weekend tickets can be purchased in advance for £12.50 from tickets , with day tickets also available for £7.
