Louder Than Words

The UK’s biggest music literature festival will be back at The Innside, Manchester from 14-16 November. The 2025 weekend will include author and artist conversations, panel discussions, book signings, workshops, writing surgeries and live performances.

One area of the music business that still appears to be thriving is books about music and amongst the impressive gaggle of musicians who will be discussing their recent tomes and potentially dropping the occasional song including Billy Bragg, Matt Johnson, Dave Rowntree, Clare Grogan, Dennis Bovell, Justin Currie, Baz Warne, Steve Diggle and Rusty Egan. In addition, leading music journalists including the event’s co-founder, John Robb, as well as Daniel Rachel, Stuart Maconie, John Harris, Daryl Easlea and Grant McPhee will be talking about their latest books.

For Silent Radio, one of the weekend’s highlights is the annual music writing panel discussion. We are privileged to have a few of our writers participating in this event which starts at 12:15 on Saturday 15 November. Details of the event and ticket availability can be found at “You can call me A.I. : Music Criticism in a Machine Age” Tickets, Sat, Nov 15, 2025 at 12:15 PM | Eventbrite
