One of the UK’s exciting new bands, 2:54 -sisters Hannah and Colette Thurlow- have unveiled the video for their new single ‘Sugar’, taken from their self-titled debut album released in May on Fiction. Ahead of their September tour with the XX and slew of high-profile summer festival dates including Reading, Leeds and Bestival they debut this nocturnal visual feast, directed by buzz new director, Georgia Hudson. For the fan-favourite track that’s become known as the band’s ‘dancefloor tune’, a classic, club-dwelling promo was in order, capturing the notorious intensity of a 2:54 live show.

It’s been an amazing year for the band so far, playing a show-stopping US headline tour, numerous high-profile summer festival slots, and being named main support to the XX’s European comeback tour in September, not to mention a slew of fevered acclaim for their debut record. This tour also follows the release of their latest single ‘Sugar’ in September, and will represent a rounding-up of what’s been a momentous 2012.
