Summer in Manchester is in full swing, and that means longer days and busier nights, from iconic returns to the stage, to refreshing and exciting new acts, here is what you can expect to find across the city in June!
June 3rd
Andrew Cushin – Club Academy
Mj Lenderman – Ritz
June 4th
Panda Bear – Gorilla – Noah Lennox, drummer with Animal Collective, tours in support of his first solo album in five years, Sinister Grift. Whilst the album remains psychedelic to the core, it is also filled to the brim with elegant pop melodies, intimate lyrics and nostalgia. It should be fascinating to see how he interprets it live.
Billy Ocean – Apollo
June 5th
Massive Attack – Co-op Live – It is the start of a huge month at the Co-op Live and starting with a band as pioneering and revolutionary as Massive Attack certainly kicks the month off with a bang! Forming in the late 1980s, their music blends a beautiful mix of hip-hop, dub and electronica. With several of their albums such as 1998’s Mezzanine, receiving huge critical acclaim, it is going to be an incredible night and one not to be missed.

Lifeguard – The Castle – Lifeguard are a nostalgic glimpse into American life that we only really see in the movies. A group of friends that turned hanging out every day and writing music for the fun of it, into touring and showing the world their skills. For the Chicago four-piece, 2025 is looking to be an incredible year, with their debut album releasing June 6th and headline shows across Europe and the UK. Doors are at 7:30pm
Niamh Regan – Gullivers
June 12th
Tomo Katsurada – Trinity Church – Tomo Yatsurada, can be most accredited to being the founder and lead singer of Japanese psychedelia wonder, Kikagaku Moyo, but 2024 marked his first solo project, with his debut EP, Dream of the Egg, and now he is embarking on a UK/EU tour, showing his range of talents and his new artistic direction. Doors are at 7pm and it will certainly be a night of transcendental experience.
June 13th
Catfish and The Bottlemen – Heaton Park
June 14th
Arkayla – Gorilla – Arkayla have garnered significant attention in a very short time, and just one listen to the Manchester four-piece immediately tells you why. Their sound is a dreamy fusion of Strokes-like guitar tones with the gritty and soulful lyrics that would be right at home on a Smiths track. This gig has the possibility to be one that you talk about for years, a rare chance to see a band on the verge of musical infamy and stardom in an intimate and personal setting.
June 16th
Osees – Ritz
Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Apollo – American indie rock band, Yeah Yeah Yeahs haven’t played in Manchester in just over 3 years, and this year marks the 25th anniversary of the band’s formation and features a homage and a celebration of their past and legacy. Playing hits from their back catalogue such as ‘Maps’. Manchester is lucky enough to be the first stop on their UK tour, and it will be a night to remember.

Pulp – Co-op Live – 24 years on from their last album, Pulp are back, and they are here to leave a mark. Credited as the voice of the awkward youth of Britain, they carved out their own legacy amongst the chaos and swagger of Oasis and Blur. It was a softer, wittier take on life in the ’90s. Pulp’s return is a chance for fans to catch a band that captured the voice of a generation that shaped British music and culture forever more.
