ALBUM REVIEW: JOHNNY MARR – THE AGE OF EVERYTHING

“I bet they heard that all over Manchester” said the bloke stood behind me to his mate, after a mass sing along of ‘There Is A Light That Never Goes Out’ performed by Johnny Marr and his band at Castlefield Bowl back in July this year, the whole crowd belting out those famous lines at […]
Skim through my concert bucket list and find Johnny Marr, most likely sitting between some random all-acoustic folk singer who last wrote a good song in the late Seventies and an Indie band that the NME tried to push to popularity in the mid-Noughties. LIVE REVIEW: JOHNNY MARR ORCHESTRA 07/12/23

All of us who were due to attend their Summer 2013 show at the Academy had our tickets refunded, with the band explaining at the time that, rather than tour, they wanted to focus instead on […]
Smiths legend Johnny Marr has thrown his support behind them, John Robb has named them “the best new band in Manchester” and having stared in Dr Martens‘ current advertising campaign, Manchester’s The Minx have announced their new thrill-a-minute single, (Can You Find) My Head? And ‘(Can You Find) My Head?’ is accompanied by a brilliant […]
