After an incredible May bank holiday, where the sun was shining, maybe a bit too much, June is also looking hopeful for another great month for gigs in Manchester. Festival season is just around the corner, and with some amazing new and old artists, the second half of 2026 is kicking off with a bang! Here is what is going on across Manchester this June.

June 3

  • Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra — Palace Theatre – Yes, you read that right. Jeff Goldblum, star of classic movies such as Jurassic Park and the recent blockbuster hit, Wicked. Goldblum has recently released an album in 2025, with collaborations from Wicked co-star’s Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, the album went down with a success, but talk online point that the live shows are where Goldblum and his Orchestra really shine.

June 4

  • Peter Hook & The Light — Academy 1 – For those who know anything about Manchester music, you’re probably more than familiar with Peter Hook. From his beginnings as the bassist of Joy Division, to then moving on to New Order with his bandmates after the passing of Ian Curtis. Nearly 20 years ago, Hook left New Order due to personal disputes with frontman Bernard Sumner and formed his new band Peter Hook & The Light in 2010. Over the years, Hooky has put on some amazing gigs where he plays hits from the New Order and Joy Division eras, so if you’re a fan of either of these, get down to Academy 1 this June!

  • The Fall: Futures and Pasts — Band on the Wall – This month, Band on the Wall are hosting a special event celebrating 50 years of one of the most iconic and influential British Bands of all time, The Fall. Including a weekend of Fall centred events including live music and film exhibitions. This is the perfect weekend for a fan of The Fall, and there are still tickets available.

  • Aldous Harding — Albert Hall
  • Soul Asylum — Gorilla – formed nearly 45 years ago, and got huge commercial success following their hit 1993 track ‘Runaway Train’ which won a Grammy for Best Rock Song, over the years, Soul Asylum have maintained a pretty consistent release schedule, and are still releasing new music to this day. With their latest being the 2024 album ‘Slowly But Shirley’. Their first gig on this 2026 tour, is at Manchester’s Gorilla and for a band that has been around as long as they have, they still sound amazing! Doors are at 8pm.

  • Wu Lyf — Albert Hall – Formed 18 years ago in 2008, Wu Lyf began as a mysterious enigma of a band, declining interviews and having little to no press information released, having released 1 studio album in 2011 with ‘Go Tell Fire to the Mountain’ they disbanded for 14 years until their return last year, and last month saw the release of their second album ‘ A Wave that will never Break’ This is a rare opportunity to see a band people never thought would return. Doors are at 7pm.

  • Lily Allen — Arena – After the incredible success of last year’s ‘West End Girl’ and marking her first album in nearly a decade, Lily Allen is performing 2 special sold out dates at Manchester’s AO Arena. There are few artists that define British pop like Allen, and she became one of the most iconic voices of the 2000’s British pop scene. On her new record, Allen goes into immense detail about her marriage with actor David Harbour and its unravelling. Lily Allen’s shows are more than just a gig, it’s a performance, with incredible set and costume design. If you are lucky enough to have tickets for this, doors are at 6pm.
