LINE-UP FOR FAT OUT FEST UNVEILED

FaT OuT Festival returns to Salford this November. They self-describe as a passionate champion of the underground, dedicated to discovering new music to produce captivating live shows for both artists and audience alike, aiming to promote a combination of challenging, intense, experimental, queer and downright rowdy music. FaT OuT Festival is their flagship event that they have produced in Salford since 2011. Since this first incarnation, the festival has steadily grown to become an ever-evolving celebration of the underground, platforming alternative and queer music and visual art. Collaboration is at the core of FaT OuT’s agenda and they continue to grow their knowledge of musicians, visual artists, record labels, festivals and like-minded humans to work with on producing consistently unique events.

The festival concludes on 15 November at Islington Mill with the multidisciplinary Lonnie Holley. His work spans drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, performance, music, and filmmaking, devoting his life to the practice of improvisational creativity. His art and music are born out of struggle and hardship, but perhaps more importantly, out of a furious curiosity and biological necessity. Lonnie is a collaborator and his expansive list of musicians and artists he has worked with includes REM’s Michael Stipe, Bon Iver, Moor Mother & Rokia Koné. Earlier, 1 November sees FaT OuT partnering with Daphne Oram’s centenary tour. Throughout late 2025 the Oram Awards is touring the UK, with a series of shows that showcase female and gender-expansive sound artists and musicians. FaT OuT has collaborated with the Oram Awards to curate a live programme and workshop that celebrates past award winners based across the north.
