Add to that list the Silent Radio Album of the Year chart. And, as is starting to become traditional, for the second time in three years, BC Camplight stands proudly atop the chart. As is customary, ‘A Sober Conversation’ was touted in advance as his finest work yet, and it lived up to the description. A work of supreme musical adventurousness and melodicism together with lyrics that veer from heartbreaking to laugh out loud funny. It had a mighty tussle with Geese’s ‘Getting Killed’ for the top spot but just prevailed. With The Last Dinner Party appearing third on our list, Abigail Morris achieves the rare distinction of featuring on two of our top three as she duets with BC Camplight on ‘Two Legged Dog.’
