The latest release ‘Julia’ from San Diego 5-piece The Verigolds is out now. It is the first single from the band in over a year. The video was shot during lockdown in Los Angeles and sees dancer Julia Rado taking advantage of the empty streets.

Lead singer Jenna Cotton recalls the creation of “Julia” in their home studio in San Diego:

“I often find inspiration when I’m emotionally charged, and usually our creative process happens together in the studio. That day, Aidan Breheny (bassist) drew influence from the Miles Davis classic ‘Footprints’ and started playing a smoky-smooth line which allowed Eliot Ross (guitarist) to weave his phrasing around the melodic bass in sort of a seductive dance.”
