LIVERPOOL PSYCH FEST 2016
LIVERPOOL INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL of PSYCHEDELIA returns over 23rd + 24th September 2016 to the warehouses and recesses of Camp and Furnace, Blade Factory and District, in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle. The festival are thrilled to announce iconic Welsh psychedelic trailblazers SUPER FURRY ANIMALS and London’s kaleidoscopic dream-weavers THE HORRORS as headliners for this year’s interstellar soiree.
DEMDIKE STARE, fully armed with their sinister, ambient electronics will be joined by legendary, misunderstood Liverpool garage troupe THE STAIRS and prolific Swedish cerebralists DUNGEN. Tim Gane (also known as founding member of Stereolab), Joe Dilworth, and Holger Zapf bring their celebrated new Duophonic / Warp released project CAVERN OF ANTI-MATTER to the festival, alongside fabled New York experimentalists SILVER APPLES.
MOONLANDINGZ, a quasi-pop oddball siamese collision comprising 50% Fat White Family and 50% Eccentronic Research Council, Japanese space-lords ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE, Chilean kraut-gloomers LA HELL GANG all also join the PZYK colony, alongside a bill of the most whacked, tapped and marvellous from across the neo-psychedelic universe.
This yeah, Tokyo based label GURUGURU BRAIN present NARROW ROAD TO THE DEEP MIND: a curation of the finest PZYK wunderkinds from across the Asian underground. KIKAGAKU MOYO (Tokyo) MINAMI DEUTSCH (Tokyo)
