Sleaford Mods — Academy – formed nearly two decades ago, Sleaford Mods have been a quintessential British band, capturing raw emotion with brutal honesty, they wear their hearts on their sleeves and aren’t afraid to voice their opinions, it has already been a big start to the year for the Nottingham duo, and this show at Manchester Academy will be a great addition to their busy year.

Mumford & Sons — Albert Hall – with their sixth album on the horizon on February 20th, Mumford & Sons are performing a special show at Albert Hall. Formed in 2007, the London band have become synonymous with the folk genre, and hits such as ‘Little Lion Man’ get constant play on the radio. This is your chance to see one of the most exciting bands in folk music live this February.

Fatboy Slim — Aviva Studios – Fatboy Slim is one of the most prolific names in DJ and Bigbeat history, his hits such as ‘Praise you’ and ‘The Rockerfeller Skank’ are some of the most popular songs of the 90’s. Over the years he has played some phenomenal gigs across the country, including his infamous 2002 Brighton Beach gig which drew 250,000 fans in. This is an opportunity to see a legend in a much more intimate setting.

Formed 10 years ago, they have released 3 studio albums together, with the latest being released in November. For fans of shoegaze and grunge, get down to Gorilla at 7pm

Big Special — New Century Hall – Formed three years ago in The Black Country,  best friends Joe and Callum have gone from a solo act during Covid, to a number 1 band in a flash. Following the success of their debut ‘POSTINDUSTRIAL HOMETOWN BLUES’ they released tracks with John Grant and Sleaford Mods. The duo went on to release their second album ‘National Average’ only a year later. This gig is an exciting chance to match ‘Punk with Poetry’. Doors are at 7pm.

Mogwai — Apollo – – After three decades, Scottish post-rock group Mogwai, are still going and louder than ever. Since seemingly doing everything, from their own Whiskey brand to soundtracks for films and TV shows, this show at Manchester Apollo, is going to be not only loud, but a tribute to the last 30 years of music.
