London-based sisters Colette and Hannah Thurlow, a.k.a. 2:54, are to release their debut 4-track EP, ‘Scarlet’ through Fiction Records on November 14th.

The duo further explore a darkly cinematic sound, spanning stoner-rock, punk and atmospheric pop. Mixer Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails) and Mercury-winning producer Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave) both worked on the EP.

The first proper single and the first taste of their upcoming album, ‘Scarlet’ refines their distinct stratum of brimstone pop to perfection; the sisters’ unerring instinct for melody and effortless hooks is cast against lacerating guitars, bludgeoning rhythms and spacey, dive-bomb dynamics.

The band head out on their own tour in November to celebrate the EP’s release, culminating in their biggest headline show to date at London’s Corsica Studios on 9th November and then as main support to The Big Pink on their comeback tour, by personal invitation of the band. They have already toured with the likes of Warpaint, Wild Beasts, Melissa Auf der Maur and Yuck, as well as a few festival slots this year.
