COMPETITION: WIN TICKETS TO SEE THE ELECTRIC SOFT PARADE AT DEAF INSTITUTE

The good people at Manchester’s Deaf Institute have given us a pair of tickets to give away for this Friday’s The Electric Soft Parade gig.

After supporting Noel Gallagher’s High flying bird at The O2 Apollo, The Electric Soft Parade return to the city as headliners at the ever popular venue, a favourite with fans and bands alike. This is somewhat of a comeback, with a 4 year break between their 2007 album ‘No Need To Be Downhearted’ and this years new EP ‘A Quick One’. They were signed to DB Records in 2000 and soon after released their debut album ‘Holes In The Wall’, which was described as “…a slice of pure pop futurism”. They have toured and played with the likes of Elbow, Grandaddy, Editors, Belle and Sebastian, Ian Brown, The Who, David Bowie and Oasis.

Their support on Friday will be TOY, little can be found on the internet of this band apart from a few shaky YouTube phone video’s of their appearances in support of The Horrors. This included a set at their curated Warehouse Project night, a few weeks ago. The performance earned them a number of plaudits and added to the mounting hype… especially impressive since they featured on the same bill as The Kills and Factory Floor.

To enter the competition for you and a friend, simply ‘Like’ the appropriate thread on our Facebook page, or Retweet an #ESPcomp messsage on our Twitter feed. All entrants will be put into a hat (maybe literally) and drawn on Friday morning. Good luck!
