A free, outdoor mini music festival will take place at Brownsfield Mill on Port Street, in Manchester’s Piccadilly Basin on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September. The line-up includes DJ sets from XFM DJs Clint Boon and Gareth Brooks and performances from some of the city’s most talented unsigned bands along with a bar hosted by 2022NQ

 The music line-up is part of the 2013 Canal Festival organised by the Piccadilly Partnership in conjunction with CityCo, Manchester’s city centre management company and 2022NQ, and sponsored by Skiddle.com The event will include a range of free entertainment for all ages from 12pm – 10pm each day.

Pop-up stalls from Kosmonaut, Ning, Las Paellaras, Streatza, and Takk will serve gourmet hot dogs, burgers, paella, woodfired pizzas, noodles, cakes and coffee; and 2022NQ will be hosting a licensed bar with indoor seating.

 Twelve local illustrators and street artists including Barney Ibbotson, Arisu, Stephanie Morris, Chris Howker, Emma Reynolds, Rose Whittingham and Generic Greeting will be working all weekend designing one-off pieces of artwork that will be displayed in the 2022NQ bar and then auctioned off for the Forever Manchester charity.

 On Saturday night there will be free entry at an after party at 2022NQ from 10pm – 3am with Dance Lady Dance and Disco Mums going head-to-head on the decks.

This is a FREE event. It is not ticketed.

 The event site is Brownsfield Mill, located on the Port Street TCCP car park, bordered by Ancoats. The entrance to the event is on Port Street.
