CHUPA CABRA – remember the name. These three guys from Deeside, North Wales are about to drop their first cassette. Chupa Cabra are a garage outfit bring a dizzying blend of psych punk and 60’s West Coast garage rock worthy of soundtracking Hunter S. Thompson’s journey into the desert.

The band released their debut single “My Girl” on Too Pure Singles Club (Pulled Apart By Horses, Hookworms, Allusondrugs) in January 2016. Chupa Cabra quickly gained airplay on BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Radio Wales, Radio X while they embarked on their first UK tour. They gained slots at many UK festivals in the summer, one of which they supported idols Gang Of Four.

After the success of “My Girl” the band will release their second single, the raucous “Mouths To Feed” b/w “All I Know” on Liverpool label Blak Hand Records August 22, which will set them on their second UK tour.

“Mouths To Feed” paces back and forth, perfectly capturing the band’s incandescent punk attitude, lyrics “I got wants, I got needs, I got seven deadly mouths to feed” roll off the garage-rock slide and into a pool of fuzzy psych riffs.
